About Nili
Nili is a Hebrew-language daily news digest for iOS. We summarize the most important stories happening in Israel three times a day (06:00 / 12:00 / 18:00 IL), with every story verified across multiple news sources before it reaches you. Facts only — no opinions, no clickbait.

Frequently asked questions
When does new content appear?
Three editions per day, on Israel time:
- 06:00 — Morning edition (overnight news)
- 12:00 — Noon edition (morning developments)
- 18:00 — Evening edition (day summary)
You'll get a push notification when each edition is ready (if you've allowed notifications).
I'm not receiving notifications
- Open iOS Settings → Nili → Notifications — make sure Allow Notifications is ON.
- If it's already on and you're still not getting notifications, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app — this resets your device token.
- If it still doesn't work, email orhager@gmail.com with your iOS version and device model.
A story has wrong information / outdated text
Use the "מצאתם טעות?" button on the expanded story view. Your report goes directly to the developer with the story headline and your description. We review every report.
Why are some stories shown in two editions in the same day?
Sometimes a news event develops throughout the day, and the same underlying story gets fresh coverage from new sources at noon or evening. We use AI to detect and remove duplicates, but it's not perfect — if you see a clear duplicate, please report it via the in-app form.
Why don't I see images?
Nili is intentionally text-only — a clean broadsheet reading experience without thumbnail clutter. Every story credits its source outlets; in a future update, tapping a source name will open the original article on the publisher's site.
Which news sources does Nili use?
We aggregate from: Ynet, Walla, Haaretz, Israel Hayom, Globes, Maariv, BHOL, Channel 14, N12, Times of Israel, TheMarker, Mekomit, and more. Stories are verified across multiple sources before appearing in the digest.
Is Nili free?
Yes. No subscription, no ads, no in-app purchases.
Does Nili track me?
No. We do not collect your reading history, behavioral analytics, location, or any personal identifier beyond an anonymous Apple push notification token. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Known issues
- iPad layout is not optimized. The app runs on iPad but the design targets iPhone first.
